These simple and easy flowers can be used in so many ways. They can add pizazz to a vase of real flowers or add dimension to a cute card. They can be strung together to make a birthday banner or as dinner place cards. With an endless paper selection, you can customize your accordion flowers for any party or occasion.
What you will need:
1. Decorative Paper 2. Glitter Flower Embellishments 3. Paper Cutter 4. 1 3/4” Circle Punch 5. Super Glue 6. Wooden Skewers [if desired] |
How to make The flowers:
1. Cut the 12 x 12 paper into two 3” strips with the paper cutter.
2. Start by folding the strip in half. Then, take the ends of the strip and match them up with the middle fold. Continue by matching up each fold line with another fold line, until you have created evenly spaced folds.
3. Once you are done folding the first strip, continue by folding your second strip to create the other half of the accordion.
4. Place super glue on the ends to secure the strips together.
5. Gently push down the cylinder to create the accordion flower. Hold the flower and carefully drop super glue in the center. Hold for a few seconds until it doesn't come apart.
6. Punch out a 1 3/4” circle in a different paper.
7. Use super glue to attach the circle to the center of the flower.

8. Glue flower to the center of the circle.
9. Place super glue where you want to attach the wooden skewer on the backside, then attach skewer. Hold for a few seconds.
